Catch More Fish
BlueTipz features up to the second updates, which in turn yields a better catch rate. The faster you get to your tip-up, the less chance your catch has lost interest, and the sooner you get back down the hole. Prime time fishing sometimes only lasts for minutes; you need to take advantage of this.
Tested up to 600 feet, BlueTipz yields range that will enable you to cover the entire breakline or weedbed you’re targeting.
Long Battery Life
BlueTipz was intentionally designed to be easy on your batteries. By using the latest technology, we’re able to provide you with a product that will last up to 600 fish, at an average of 2 minutes per fish. Work on your 40 time, and you could be up to 1000 fish on one battery!
Available on the latest devices

Clips on existing tip-ups
BlueTipz doesn’t require any special tip-ups. Simply snap BlueTipz onto your existing tip-up, and you’re ready to go.
Superior night fishing
Every part of BlueTipz was carefully considered. We chose to use a top of the line LED. No more wondering if that faint light in the distance is a tip-up or not. Our bright orange LED will 100% let you know that you have to go pull in your next trophy catch.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a tip-up, and why would I want BlueTipz?
People who ice fish typically have a shack and multiple holes outside their shack. They put things called tip-ups on these outside holes, which have a reel in the water that’s attached to a flag on a spring. When the reel turns, the flag pops up, indicating that a fish is on the line. The problem is that ice fishers have to be constantly checking their tip-ups to see if their flag is up, and if they take to long their fish can get away, or they can get a fine. BlueTipz lets them get instant notifications without having to pay constant attention, so they catch more fish faster.
What is the range?
We get over 100 yards regularly and have tested it successfully to 200 yards. Read more…
How long is the battery life?
About 600 fish, or a few seasons. That assumes that it takes you two minutes from getting the notification to getting out there and turning it off. If it takes you longer, you’ll get fewer fish than that. If you hustle, it’ll last longer. It only uses battery when it’s on AND vertical.
Can I change the battery?
Yes! It’s super easy. It takes under a minute, and the battery will last you a few seasons. Here’s a guide with pictures…
Is it waterproof?
Short answer, no. Longer answer, we’ve had it exposed to elements for a long period of time with no problems. Freezing temperatures, high humidity, rain, snow, all have been fine. Read more…
Do you ship internationally?
Absolutely! However, because this contains a lithium battery inside, we have to ship by ground, so your shipment may take longer than you’d expect.
Will it work with my phone?
The best way to find out is to download the BlueTipz app by Deep Freeze and open it. The app will tell you if your phone will work or not. If you have an iPhone 4S or newer, yes, it will. If you have an Android, it’s a tricky question, and we’re working on testing as many devices as we can. A lot of users have tried on phones we haven’t tested yet, and we’re working furiously to get the app working correctly. Here is a list of devices we test on and have verified. If your phone doesn’t work, please contact us and let us know, and be patient for a few weeks while we work out the remaining issues.
How many can I have at once?
There is no limit. Seriously.
Can I get alerts for just my tip-ups?
Yes. There are two modes in the app: All devices, and My devices. Listening for all devices means any BlueTipz, whether it’s yours, your friends’, or your neighbors’ tip-ups, will all alert on your phone. Listening for my devices will only alert if it’s one of your devices that you’ve set up in the app.
How does it attach to my tip-up?
We made sure that it would snap to any tip-up on the market, and made it flexible enough to adapt to others we haven’t seen yet. It should snap into the channel on the side. Keep pressing until you are satisfied with the tightness of the fit. Make sure that it points so that the light is pointed up when the tip-up goes up. Here’s more detail with pictures.
Where can I buy it?
